College Time Closely Approaching

Sorry everyone for not posting for awhile...there has been a lot on my plate the last month with senior activities, recital time, and well graduation!

Yes I did graduate...I received my diploma and everything. Now its on to college. YAY!

I found out I will be living in Boggs Hall for the 2008-2009 school year, and my orientation is coming up June 9th and 10th. Unfortunately, at the orientation, I have some more testing for placement in English and Math classes, but I do get to sign up for classes which is pretty cool.

I got an e-mail from the head person in the dance program about registering for dance classes during orientation, and I found out that I will have a decent load of classes. I am thinking about taking classes in the summer next year to hopefully make my load a little smaller. Plus, I would rather just have dance-related classes and not all the required classes of the college.

Hopefully, things will work out smoothly these next couple of weeks so I don't have to worry too much.

Oh yeah, I also have my recital coming up next week...i guess that's a YAY! but it is way too stressful. I don't understand how people can miss the two days we come for scene rehearsals and night practices. It's one thing to have something for school but when you are missing for no reason or because you have "to wash dishes" at a restaurant you work at (I mean can you not just ask for those days and work to shifts on the other days). The worse thing is that it's the people who need the rehearsal that aren't coming. Ugh!

Okay, that was my soapbox...I'm done.

Thanks for reading the much needed blog!

Have fun...enjoy life!

Exhausted

Today has been a very strange day...

First off, I have been extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY) tired. All day, I felt like just curling up into a ball and taking a nap, but I can never fall asleep at school no matter how tired I am. So, that doesn't work.

Also, my tiredness (probably not a word lol) has made me act a little loopy. My brain has reacted to everything a little slower...which is not good.

Lastly, this isn't strange but I am soooo ready for spring break, and I am very excited that it starts tomorrow after school ends. :)

'08 Dance Recital

Just to let people know...

My dance recital will be June 7 (a Saturday) and tickets go on sale Monday...tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so if anyone wants to go let me know...the tickets are $10 and I am willing to pay for people if they do not have the money at this time, but I would expect a refund eventually...I want a big crowd to come because this is my last dance recital before I go off to college...it means a lot to me...I know this blog doesn't get to everyone and I don't see everyone during the day, so if you know anyone who would be interested in coming please let me know or you can tell them for me lol.

I really hope everyone can come!!!

26 School Days Left

Why can't the rest of the school year just end? Yes, I am excited for spring break and prom, but besides that there is really nothing left (besides school work, ugh!). There is nothing to do at the end of the year. No sports games, no nothing. :( Plus, being single really doesn't help because many people have their boyfriends and girlfriends to hang out with, but I don't want to be the third wheel so I don't hang out with them. OR people are working on the weekends so they can't do anything. I am ready just to meet new people and to start "a new chapter in my life." Yeah that's cheesy but so true. Well I can't wait till graduation and going off to college.

By the way, I have heard everything about don't think college will be this magically new change for people, but I have moved to different places. I am really looking at college like that. I am just thinking that it's going to be like moving to new place. I am totally ready for a new change in my life...I have long lived my time in Blairsville and I am ready for something different.

So I think this is the end of my "diary session." I feel much better :) or at least I hope I do.

Love everyone...smooches!!!

Frustration

I really don't know how to start this...there is a girl at my dance school who is taking an injured girl's spot for the recital. That's not such a big deal. My problem is that she won't show up to class some times because she has to go "hang out with friends." She should be happy to get a chance to be in the classes again...She graduated last year!!! I wish she would either be in the classes or not be in the recital...also she decided to be in the pointe class but she doesn't even go on pointe. I don't even think she owns pointe shoes. I can't stand how she thinks she is better than everyone else just because she is no longer in school.

I know no one really wants to hear any of this, but I have been needing to talk (or type) about it because I really can't say anything at dance.

Hopefully things will work out.

Georgia Something Something Something Something

Today, our school was invaded by the GAPPS people. I love how people go into a scare when they are being evaluated; it's apart of human nature. It wasn't too terrible, or at least, from my view it wasn't bad. I feel sorry for the students who were asked questions because I personally would not know much about what the GPS standards are or what the mission statement says. Hopefully, our school will meet the standards because it would not be a pretty scene otherwise. I will be happy when the invasion is over.

I must say our new mission statement should be "Striving for mediocrity while blaming others." lol!
